News
This week we would like to introduce Zuul, our authentication and authorization service for WomenWhoCode. It is a separate repo that houses all of our WWCode members’ data. It is our “who you are and what you can do” repo.
We built out Zuul as part of a larger project to create a seamless WWCode member experience. It is responsible for member account creation as well as storing our members’ email preferences.
We will list all the new PRs that are released into Zuul here every week. Zuul is a private repo so we will present a screenshot and description of the release.
And yes, Zuul is the Gatekeeper of Gozer….who doesn’t love Ghostbusters :-)

Leadership Guides
We gave admin users the ability to create Leadership Guides, with model views, controllers, and forms, so that static pages can be created to highlight members in Leadership positions, and added an autocomplete feature to the job post “Job Title” form that guides the user, similar to the functionality of the “Job Title” input on the profile form.
We added a Searchjoy initializer that increases the number of top searches we can display from 100 to 500. We also started the process of adding profile photo upload/edit abilities to the profile edit form.
FixesIn addition, we fixed a z-index issue that was making it so that the WWCode logo wasn’t clickable, as well as a typo and anchor tag position issue on the For Companies page. We also implemented a fix that shows credits as loading when a user purchases a plan, despite a delay in the stripe webhook.
Zuul
This week we pulled our members email preferences for both subscribed and unsubscribed members from the WWCode MailChimp Code Review list into Zuul. We also added a Mailchimp webhook integration.

Our repo is private, yet running under an open source license. Instead of pointing to issues and PRs, we are including a screenshot of what our weekly pulse looks like.
