Women Who Code
4 min readOct 2, 2017

We are building features for the Women Who Code community and we want to highlight that work with our stakeholders, you! THANK YOU to our contributors for dedicating their valuable time to help us build tech a place where women can excel.

You can follow all of our work on github. Below are a few snippets of our awesome features.

Website

During this week’s sprint, we added an events page to each Network page on the website where all of the local events taking place will be displayed. This can be accessed on any Network page by going to WomenWhoCode.com/NetworkName/events. Example: https://www.womenwhocode.com/sf/eventsWe also incorporated an autofill function for the job locations field on the For Companies job posting page, and we built a “Show” page that displays all of a plans info without a user having to sign in and go to the individual plan.On fixes, we improved the job search feature to include the query in the URL, while also allowing users to go back and forth in their browser history between different searches. We also removed some duplicate text that was on the About Us page and fixed a React.js console error on our survey form. In addition, we stopped our Nav headers from behaving like links with no clickable destination.

Zuul

This week we worked to sync up email preferences against the member profiles we are importing.
