Released
PROFILE LAUNCH CELEBRATION! Today marks the official launch of Women Who Code Profiles. This is a new feature of WomenWhoCode.com, and a major step towards a long-term plan that will see our product transform into an increasingly powerful tool for inspiring and supporting tech career success. The whole Core Team has been working hard for months to make this profile launch possible, and the talent and vision of everyone involved continues to drive Women Who Code’s work to create a better future for the tech industry.

***We had a great sprint this week in which we worked on improving the customer experience with the job board, building out our user profile features, and centralizing all of our user data in one Women Who Code database so that we can better administer it.
WWCode Job Board
- When customers who have purchased a job post, choose to clone that post and create another, the new post now contains the same location as the original.- Updated the subject line for the post_next_steps email sent to customers after they make a purchase to read, “Post your WWCode jobs” in an effort to communicate in a more clear and effective manner.
Members and Profiles
- Set up redirects for /membership and /members to /member to improve user experience and reduce potential error pages for users.- Set up a check to ensure that all users have emails associated with them. This cleans up an issue with some user profiles not having email addresses.
User Data
Added an import task to MailChimp to allow us to import data from them into our database, in order to better centralize all member data. We also removed any access to the deprecated Mailchimp profile form and deleted any links to it from the site.
Bug Fixes
Implemented a fix to the category list filter on the admin panel.
Our Website
Our repo is private, yet running under an open source license. Instead of pointing to issues and PRs, we are including a screenshot of what our weekly pulse looks like.
