We are building features for the Women Who Code community and we want to highlight that work with our stakeholders, you! THANK YOU to our contributors for dedicating their valuable time to help us build tech a place where women can excel.

You can follow all of our work on github. Below are a few snippets of our awesome features.

Released

This week the WWCode Core Team updated the website to reflect our new member count! We also focused heavily on job board improvements and fixes and added a validation feature to the #ApplaudHer submission form. Enjoy!

Changed

Update number of members to 180,000

Women Who Code continues to grow, and we now have 180,000 members around the world!!! This was announced last week at the WWCode CONNECT 19 Conference. In this update, we changed the numbering across the website to reflect this exciting news.

Move Job Form into React Container

We have updated the software that powers the job board by moving the job form into a React Container. This is more in line with proper standards and will allow the Core Team to better build this product out. However, it should not have any effect on the front end functionality.

Added

Add URL validation to social_url fields on #ApplaudHer forms

This update makes it so that when social URL’s are included in a submitted #ApplaudHer, the url is transformed into a working and clickable link and is validated as being a working target.

Removed

Remove the “My Plan Promotions” Tab

We have changed the way that customers interact with the perks that might be available in their plan by removing a tab that was otherwise being confusing.

Fixed

NoMethodError in ActionMailer::DeliveryJob@mailers

This update just resolved a minor job board bug that was causing problems with confirmation emails that are sent.

Applauds!
